BlackBerry smartphones have always been amusing with the amazing attributes that the handset features. Recently RIM has announced the launch of the latest addition to this family, the all new touch screen BlackBerry curve 9380. With its sleek and stylish design the phone looks good no matter where you go. BlackBerry curve 9380 is the first BlackBerry Curve smartphone with a touchscreen display.
The 3.3 inch touchscreen display is ideal for scanning pictures, scrolling through messages or streaming videos. The phone runs on OS 7 and is powered by 806MHz processor with 512MB of RAM for the smooth functioning. Curve 9380 offers 512MB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB with a MicroSD card slot. For connectivity, it supports GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G with HSPA & NFC (Near Field Communication).
On the front face the smartphone incorporates four buttons at the lower end namely - call, back, options, power/hangup in addition to the optical tracker in the center. BlackBerry curve 9380 features a slightly advanced web browser for a fluid browsing experience. The browser features the JIT javascript compiler which enables speedy loading of the webpages. Also it offers optimized HTML5 performance for intriguing gaming and videos. The universal search capability has also been upgraded to support voice activated search for a speedy search, amazing isn’t it. Charging is done via a micro USB port which is the only feature on the left side. All the other features like volume, camera and keypad lock are on the right side of the device.
It also features really cool technologies like NFC and Augmented Reality allows a new way to get connected with the world. The BlackBerry Messenger allows you to stay connected with your friends whilst playing, gaming or listening to the music. The social Feeds application offers a common platform for all your social networks. Also the new messages received from your friends pop up at the top of your screen, offering a quick and easy check. The 5 megapixel camera with LED flash allows for video recording and snapshots whenever you want for quick uploading and sharing.
There’s no word on pricing yet but this device needs to be seriously cheap if want to make an impact on the market and become a hit, as the Androids are getting better and better.
